Former NFL linebacker and cancer survivor Andrew Wiggins’ treatment will allow him to play football again

Former NFL running back Andrew Wiggins is expected to be able to resume practicing football after undergoing surgery on his right leg in May.

The operation, performed by Dr. Mark L. Brown of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, was announced on Monday by Drs.

Andrew M. Williams and Andrew S. Miller.

According to the announcement, Wiggins was in remission for six months after being treated with the immunosuppressant methotrexate.

The surgery, which was conducted on Feb. 3, 2016, allowed Wiggins to return to football activities in his rehabilitation from cancer and other injuries.

According the announcement released by the University, the procedure was performed in conjunction with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Cincinnati Bengals, the Tennessee Titans, the Indianapolis Colts and the New York Jets.

Wiggins has played in just four games since his surgery, the last two of which came against the Dallas Cowboys on Feb 10 and 16.

He is still recovering from a torn ACL that he suffered in the second half of the 2016 season.

Wolves underwent surgery on both his legs on May 1 and underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee on May 22.

The former NFL star was released from the Steelers’ practice squad on April 10, 2016.
